This address is a business and fulfillment location. It is not a public retail storefront or customer pickup location unless Ch'ien expressly states otherwise.

NATURE OF THE MARKET

Ch'ien offers a changing selection that may include clothing, accessories, books, art, objects, collectibles, home goods, lifestyle pieces, vintage goods, secondhand goods, pre-owned items, deadstock, independently sourced goods, personal collection pieces, and other limited or one-of-one items.

Much of the inventory is not replaceable. Items may have been previously owned, worn, handled, stored, displayed, styled, photographed, cleaned, repaired, altered, or otherwise used before being offered for sale.

The presence of age, wear, patina, fading, marks, creasing, pilling, repairs, alterations, missing tags, manufacturing variation, storage wear, scuffs, scratches, tarnishing, discoloration, odor, or other characteristics may be consistent with the history and nature of vintage, secondhand, pre-owned, or previously handled goods.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Ch'ien makes reasonable, good-faith efforts to describe and photograph items accurately and to disclose known material information about condition, measurements, sizing, materials, flaws, and other relevant characteristics.

Customers are responsible for reviewing the complete product listing, photographs, measurements, condition information, and other available details before purchasing.

Measurements are approximate and may vary slightly depending on the construction of the item and the method used to measure it.

Photographs are intended to represent items as accurately as reasonably possible. Actual color, texture, scale, finish, and appearance may vary because of lighting, photography, image compression, editing, display calibration, screen settings, and the device used to view the website.

If additional information, measurements, photographs, or clarification are needed, customers should contact Ch'ien before completing checkout.

VINTAGE, SECONDHAND, AND PRE-OWNED CONDITION

Unless a listing expressly states otherwise, vintage, secondhand, pre-owned, sourced, and previously handled items should not be expected to be in factory-new condition.

Condition is evaluated and described to the best of Ch'ien's reasonable ability based on the information available at the time the listing is prepared.

Minor characteristics associated with age, prior use, storage, manufacture, or handling may not always be individually identified when they are visible in the photographs or reasonably consistent with the nature of the item.

Nothing in this section limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

CONDITION CHANGES BEFORE FULFILLMENT

Some one-of-one or personally curated items may continue to be stored, handled, photographed, displayed, or otherwise managed before sale.

If Ch'ien discovers before fulfillment that an item has been materially damaged, materially altered, lost, unavailable, or materially changed from the condition represented in its listing, Ch'ien will make a reasonable effort to contact the customer before shipment and determine an appropriate resolution.

Ch'ien will not knowingly ship an item that has materially changed from its listing without first making a reasonable effort to address the change with the customer.

AUTHENTICITY AND THIRD-PARTY BRANDS

Ch'ien sources items through various channels that may include personal collections, independent sellers, vintage markets, resale markets, wholesalers, private sellers, and other third parties.

Unless a product listing expressly states that an item has been professionally authenticated, authenticated by the original manufacturer, or accompanied by original proof of purchase, no representation is made that third-party professional authentication has been performed.

Brand names, designer names, trademarks, logos, model names, and other third-party identifiers may be used solely to identify, describe, categorize, or provide information about an item.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Ch'ien is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, authorized by, or officially connected with any third-party brand, designer, manufacturer, artist, publisher, or trademark owner whose name or intellectual property appears in connection with an item.

All third-party trademarks, brand names, logos, and other intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.

Questions about authenticity, provenance, tags, labels, construction, sourcing, or other identifying characteristics should be submitted before purchase.

INVENTORY AND AVAILABILITY

Because much of the Ch'ien inventory is limited or one-of-one, availability is not guaranteed until an order has been successfully processed and the item has been confirmed for fulfillment.

An item may occasionally become unavailable because of inventory error, duplicate sale, loss, damage, condition change, listing error, inability to locate the item, or another operational issue.

If Ch'ien cannot fulfill an item, Ch'ien may cancel the affected item or order and provide any refund or other resolution required by the applicable store policies and law.

LISTING, PRICING, AND TECHNICAL ERRORS

Ch'ien makes reasonable efforts to maintain accurate product information, pricing, inventory, measurements, photographs, descriptions, and website content.

Errors may nevertheless occur.

Ch'ien reserves the right, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to correct typographical, pricing, inventory, description, technical, or other genuine errors and to cancel or decline an order materially affected by such an error.

If Ch'ien cancels a paid order because of an error or inability to fulfill the item, amounts paid for the affected item will be handled in accordance with the applicable refund and payment process.

CARE AND USE

Vintage, secondhand, pre-owned, delicate, handmade, aged, or specialty materials may require particular care.

Customers are responsible for determining an appropriate method of cleaning, laundering, storage, repair, maintenance, or use after delivery unless specific care instructions are expressly provided by Ch'ien.

Ch'ien does not represent that an item is machine washable, dry-clean safe, waterproof, weatherproof, stain resistant, or suitable for a particular use unless the applicable listing expressly states so.

ALLERGENS AND PRIOR ENVIRONMENTS

Because some goods are sourced from third parties or previous owners, Ch'ien cannot guarantee that an item has never been exposed to pets, smoke, fragrance, dust, moisture, storage facilities, cleaning products, allergens, or other environmental conditions before acquisition.

Customers with allergies, sensitivities, or specific environmental requirements should contact Ch'ien before purchasing.

WEBSITE CONTENT

Website content, including product information, editorial writing, blog content, creative commentary, visual presentation, styling references, community features, and other materials, is provided for informational, editorial, creative, and commercial purposes.

Nothing on this website constitutes legal, financial, medical, investment, or other professional advice.
